2-Day Chiang Mai Hilltribe Trekking & Eco Adventure
Day 1: Scenic Canyons, Hidden Waterfalls & Hilltop Homestay
- 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM | Hotel Pickup & Countryside Drive: We start the day with a pickup from your Chiang Mai hotel before heading southwest into the scenic countryside.
- Local Market Experience: Stop at a traditional market to explore local ingredients, learn about Northern Thai food culture, and sample delicious homemade snacks.
- Pha Chor Grand Canyon: Walk through Pha Chor, a breathtaking natural canyon sculpted by ancient river channels into towering soil pillars.
- Lunch in a Karen Village: Arrive at a local Karen village to share an authentic, home-cooked lunch with a warm Karen hill tribe family.
- Jungle Trekking & Hidden Waterfall Swim: Set off on a 1.5 to 2-hour guided hike through lush evergreen forest. Cool off along the way with a refreshing swim at a secluded hidden waterfall.
- Overnight Hilltop Homestay: Settle into a tranquil hilltop homestay featuring stunning panoramic mountain views, cool breezes, and an authentic local atmosphere.
Day 2: Mountain Rice Terraced Treks, Nature trekking & Bamboo Rafting
- Morning Coffee & Healthy Breakfast: Wake up to crisp mountain air, fresh coffee, tea, and a nourishing local breakfast.
- Khun Poi Village & Mountain Trekking: Drive higher into the mountains to Khun Poi village for a 3-hour trek through picturesque mountain rice fields, local farms, and pristine rainforest while learning about indigenous mountain living.
- Bamboo Rafting Adventure: Head down to the river for a serene bamboo rafting journey through calm waters, surrounded by lush riverbanks.
- Return to Chiang Mai: Conclude your eco-adventure with a comfortable drive back to Chiang Mai city, carrying unforgettable memories of mountain life.
Note: An optional visit to the Ethical Elephant Sanctuary is available for an additional 300 THB per person.
